Position Summary:

Marketplace is looking for a Senior Editor to run our team of talented reporters in New York or a more experienced manager as Bureau Chief to do that, as well as oversee the bureau and represent the nation's most popular business news programming in the country's financial capital.

The successful candidate will provide leadership for his/her team with a clearly articulated vision for Marketplace's New York coverage. You'll drive our daily, mid- and long-term stories from the bureau, continuing our mission to raise the economic intelligence of the country through unorthodox and explanatory storytelling, our signature sound, high quality journalism and insightful, sharp angles on the news.

As bureau chief, you would also represent us in the city's media sphere, including initiating partnerships with other New York news organizations to find new audiences and sustain our loyal listeners and readers. In addition, you'd manage the technical and logistical aspects of the bureau.

Marketplace is an industry leader in telling meaningful and creative stories on the radio with over 14 million listeners, and several million more on digital and on-demand. Good ideas are the currency here. We don't take ourselves too seriously, even though we take seriously the critical importance of people understanding how the economy and business decisions shape the world around us.

Producing imaginative, sound, original content on challenging deadlines is the foundation of this job.

How will you know if it's right for you? Do you:
