Position Summary:

 

Digital membership fundraising is one of our fasting growing revenue streams. Our digital audience regularly eclipses our terrestrial radio audience. More members are donating online than ever before, engaging with us on social media, and using their smartphones to consume KPCC content. Converting the digital content user to active, donating member is the primary role of this position.

 

As the Membership Manager of Digital Fundraising, you'll work closely with the Director of Membership and the Digital Media Team to develop strategies and tactics to engage with our listeners and members on digital channels. You'll identify digital giving trends and key performance indicators to grow our digital giving initiatives.

 

Position Responsibility:

  • Leads the membership digital fundraising strategy - creating messaging, innovating e-fundraising revenue streams, and executing email fundraising plans to meet or exceed membership revenue goals while also championing a high-quality donor experience in member communications to active, lapsed, and prospective members.
  • Translates these digital strategies into specific documented plans that include timelines, channel selection, offers, ask strings, segmentation, projected response rates, revenue, and expense budgets.
  • Structures digital giving tests to find both incremental and breakthrough improvements.
  • Working in conjunction with the rest of the membership team, makes data-driven decisions, while ensuring that our messaging is consistent across all channels of membership giving.
  • Researches and implements innovations in digital fundraising and member stewardship techniques and strategy.
  • Manages digital marketing vendor relationships to ensure campaigns meet revenue goals and come in on budget. Seeks out new vendors to benchmark our costs and performances against current vendors.
    • Enforce SCPR's policies with regard to only contracting with PCI-compliant vendors; maintain a schedule to review vendors quarterly to verify and document continued compliance; ensure that internal membership systems also meet SCPR's PCI compliance standards.
  • Acts as one of SCPR's Salesforce Marketing Cloud administrators

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in digital fundraising
  • Three or more years working in a non-profit membership-driven department
  • Experience with and knowledge of email marketing tools

 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to establish work priorities and manage workload autonomously.
  • Maintains working knowledge of industry and technology trends and innovations. Incorporates new developments, as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer data, business requirements, and the bigger picture in regards to fundraising and management of membership information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of statistics and predictive modeling.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus
