Intern, Marketing - APM National Distribution

As the Intern, Marketing of APM National Distribution, you will assist the National Distribution Marketing Manager in promotional activities to support the distribution of APM radio programming across the country. This is a unique opportunity to gain marketing experience from a nationally recognized public media leader and delve deep into the public radio ecosystem of the United States.

 

Key Learning Goals:

  • Develop skills in marketing execution, including messaging, project management, client relations, and event engagement.
  • Apply theories learned in marketing / branding / consumer behavior to real-life business cases.
  • Gain perspective and understanding of how a multi-functional marketing team operates.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead generation for marketing, communications, and digital managers at network stations.
  • Conference and event support.
  • Researching social media monitoring and reporting tools in order to monitor network station's digital engagement activity and digital asset utilization.

 

Benefits:

Required Qualifications:

  • Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors OR recent graduate (Bachelor's or Master's degree) of no more than 1 year from a college/university program in marketing, advertising, business or nonprofit management programs.
  • Active interest in public media or mission-driven organizations.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest or experience in event management or execution.
  • Experience implementing research projects.
  • Experience or interest in digital media.
